For this work, Kaisen took outset in a photograph on the front cover of her grandfather’s book Annals of the Jeju Women Divers’ Anti-Japanese Resistance concerning the Jeju Women Divers’ Anti-Colonial Resistance. The photograph is taken by the lava coast of Jeju Island where her mother and grandmother used to dive and from where the divers began marching in protest.
